Greetings Towers Parents and Students, Ages 16-24,

Many of our students have had to make the choice between attending school and working to help support themselves and their families during these unusual times.  At Towers, we do not want our students to have to choose between either when both resources are needed. Therefore, Towers High School in partnership with DeKalb WorkSource under the direction of Theresa Austin- Gibbons and the Hank Stewart Foundation have teamed up to create a job fair with employers that understand that students must have school-work balance in order to meet their current needs while earning a high school diploma to assist with securing a potentially bright livelihood and beyond.  The job fair will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. All interested students ages 16 -24 must complete the registration form and prepare a simple 1 -page resume to bring to the event.  For students ages 14-15, a work permit station will be set-up so that you may seek employment with businesses that accept work permits. We will also host a job fair orientation on Thursday, April 15 at 2:00 pm during the school day for students and again at 6:00 pm for parents to ask questions.

Attire for the event is school uniform or business attire.  Students are encouraged to be well groomed and put their best foot forward.  Students will be interviewed and potentially hired on the spot.  We are attaching a resume template that you can use to prepare for the interviews.
