What is “Testing Out?”

DeKalb County School District will award units of high school credit to students in the following two (2) ways as required by State Board of Education Rule 160-5-1-.15:

1. A student may earn course credit by earning a final course grade of 70 or higher.

2. Prior to taking the course, a student may earn course credit by achieving “Exceeds” level on the state designated End-of-Course Test. This method of earning course credit is referred to hereinafter as “testing out.”
